Bellairs Added to AF Men’s Hoops Staff

A quick hoops note on a heavy football day.

Capt. Tom Bellairs, a 2003 academy grad and former hoops player, has been added to the men’s basketball coaching staff. Bellairs replaces Tyron Wright, who served on the academy staff for four seasons as the Falcons’ military assistant.

Bellairs spent the last five years at Los Angeles Air Force Base working in the GPS Wing on the User Equipment Group. Previously he was an assistant basketball coach at the prep school during the 2003-04 season when the Huskies went 31-3.

A four-year letterwinner, Bellairs ranks third on the academy’s career rebounding list. He started 98 of 108 career games and was named the Mountain West Conference’s co-freshman of the year in 1999-00.
