Rob,

Thanks for the comment. You're right, Soderberg has moved past the miss at Navy, which I noted in the article I wrote about him this week (http://www.gazette.com/sports/force-64559-air-lined.html). But he also told me when I interviewed him for that article that he hasn't forgotten the lessons he learned from being in that situation, and that has helped him become more calm. That's why it's relevant. And the fact that he's made seven straight since the miss.
As for the preseason, I'll happily admit I was wrong about the kicking situation, which appeared to be a major concern when all of the kickers trying out for the position were inconsistent in drills. Soderberg's emergence has been one of the best stories of the season. And, as I noted in the article above, he's making kicks at a better rate than Harrison did when he was a junior (his first season handling place kicking duties).

We're 4 weeks past Navy. It is very evident that Soderberg has moved beyond that game. Why don't you? Every mention you make of Soderberg includes a mention of the miss. Clearly he's moved on. How about you? Get off of it. You've been hard on the kickers since Spring when your incessent whining about who will replace Harrison was at a peak. Realize we have one of the best kickers in the NCAA and enjoy it.
