60 Minutes to Kickoff

In the words of Brent Musburger, I am looking live at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. Mostly cloudy. Chilly. A bit windy.

Big one for the Falcons this afternoon. If they win, they clinch no worse than a third-place finish in the league and some more bowl possibilities open up. Although I’ve heard San Diego is unlikely. Apparently the Poinsettia Bowl is hot on BYU (it’s the 25th anniversary of the Cougars’ trip to the Holiday Bowl) and is going to take them if they’re available no matter what happens the last two weeks.

Still, I think any of the top four bowls (Las Vegas, Poinsettia, Armed Forces and New Mexico) are in the cards if Air Force wins today. If the Falcons lose, I think it’ll be either Armed Forces or New Mexico.
