Tew doesn’t have broken bone in hand

The Falcons got some good news on fullback Jared Tew, when X-rays showed no broken bones in his injured hand.

Whether that means Tew can play this week at Oklahoma has yet to be determined.

“It’s still going to be a while, just because of the swelling,” Air Force coach Troy Calhoun said.

The prognosis gives Tew a much better chance to play this week, however. He was a limited participant in practice. Tailback Asher Clark has an ankle injury, and Calhoun said he also will wait to determine Clark’s status for this week’s game.

“We’ll see,” Calhoun said.
