Air Force, like almost every other team in the nation, can start formal practices for the basketball season tonight, and coach Jeff Reynolds has taken to having a bit of a training camp flair to to the start of practice.
The team will once again go to the Olympic Training Center for a practice tonight, two practices on Saturday, and another on Sunday before coming back to the academy.
Reynolds said the players like to get away, and he doesn’t seem to mind either, especially when he excitedly talked about being able to stop practice and show the players what just happened in the last drill on the computer boards at the OTC.
“The facilities are unbelievable,” Reynolds said.
The few days away give the players a chance to bond, and concentrate on practice as they kick off the season.
“I think it’s a beneficial trip for us,” Reynolds said. “The guys get away and focus on basketball for the whole weekend.”
