Fow ready for his final home game

Tom Fow had put it off in his mind, but once Air Force’s win over Colorado State was over, the senior forward couldn’t avoid thinking about having one more game left in Clune Arena.

Fow, Evan Washington and Derek Brooks are the three seniors who will be honored Wednesday after Air Force plays TCU in the home finale.

“I’m excited,” Fow said. “It’s a little bittersweet because it’s coming to an end and it’s coming so fast. But it has been a good ride so far.”

Not only is there only one home game left, but perhaps as few as three games remaining in the Falcons’ season. Air Force wants more games – the Falcons can extend their season by winning some games at the Mountain West conference tournament, or by being invited to a postseason tournament. Air Force probably needs to win at least two games in the next two weeks to get that invitation.

Whatever happens, Fow is going to soak it in.

“I’m going to have the most fun I possibly can,” Fow said. “I’m living the dream, and I can’t ask for anything else. I’ve been blessed with a good season so far.”

Fow said this season has been good for him and the Falcons, because expectations have been so low for Air Force the past couple years. But even with a few more wins, and a winning record heading into the final week of the regular season, Fow wants more.

“Definitely not satisfied yet,” Fow said. “Definitely have a lot to accomplish, I think, these next few games to make it to postseason play. If that happens, I think that will be good for us.”

Good luck to Tom, Evan and Derek….thanks for all you have given to AF basketball….imagine ‘if’ Tom and Derek had been healthy their first two years! Congrats to Evan on his ‘Iron Man’ play and record setting 107th career start as a Falcon. Go Falcons
