UNLV has finished off Utah today, which means UNLV has clinched the third seed. That result also means Air Force gets the sixth seed, no matter what happens in its game today against New Mexico.

If Air Force wins, it finishes tied with New Mexico at 7-9 in conference. But New Mexico wins the tiebreaker for the fifth seed. The teams split head-to-head meetings, and New Mexico has the better win with a sweep over BYU. If Air Force loses it ties Utah at 6-10 in conference, and wins the tiebreaker for the sixth seed because it swept Utah.

Air Force lost both games to UNLV this year, but both games were close. The Falcons let a late five-point lead slip away in a loss at Clune Arena, and a 13-minute scoring drought at UNLV was the difference in a seven-point Rebels win.

The game between the third-seeded Rebels and sixth-seeded Falcons will begin about a half hour after the conclusion of the San Diego State-Utah game, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Mountain time on Thursday.
