Here is a comment from MW Board of Director’s Chair and UNLV President Neal Smatrask about the possibility of conference realignment:
“The Mountain West Conference continues to closely monitor potential conference membership scenarios nationally, and is remaining diligent in exploring options to further the Conference’s objectives,” Smatresk said in a statement. “Our Board is reviewing a number of topics crucial to the league’s growing strength and its future development. The process of evolving these strategies is ongoing and they will remain confidential until or unless it becomes appropriate to share them publicly.”
Dump the Mtn, and get a tiny portion of a little bit of respect back.
Whatever……….I see every football game, all basketball games plus other sports due to ‘theMtn’. I for one love it!

How soon all you byu clowns forget about when the league was in bed with espn…..rarely on tv, crappy timeslots, mostly regional which you can only get if you have a cable system who pays to simulcast it, no directv. the contract in place paid much more than espn was offering, involves three nationaly available channels, not just one, and there is more coverage top to bottom than any other league. My only complaint about the mtn is they hire too many annoying byu alumns.
The Big 12 would be much better than the Mountain West. I hope it happens for Air Force.
Mtn West is weak and just wait til Boise State accepts a Pac-12 bid in the next year or two (TCU all ready leaving for better conference). I can’t wait for the “big game” at Falcon Stadium against Colorado State, Wyoming, UNLV, New Mexico and San Diego State. Wow, what great games…..maybe for $5. But I would surely pay to watch Oklahoma, OK State, Texas, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa State at Falcon Stadium – that would be awesome…….We get killed in Basketball, Volleyball and Baseball anyway, nothing would change there.
Is Air Force “elite” or not. We are elite cadets, why not athletes as well. Could be awesome
