Air Force sweeps Mountain West player of the week honors

The Falcons’ 35-34 overtime win at Navy drew plenty of individual accolades from the Mountain West, which honored Air Force’s Tim Jefferson, Brady Amack and Alex Means as the conference players of the week.
Jefferson, a quarterback, completed 9-of-10 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, and scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime on a 1-yard run. He was named Mountain West offensive player of the week.
Amack played a great game from his inside linebacker position in taking home defensive player of the week honors. His 23 tackles were sixth most in Air Force history and tied for the most in Mountain West history. Amack’s 23 tackles were the most for Air Force since 1988.
Means had 12 tackles and an interception, but it was the outside linebacker’s blocked extra point in overtime that earned him special teams player of the week honors. Means’ block allowed the Falcons to win the game on their first overtime possession with Jefferson’s touchdown and an extra point.

That is awesome. Amack was all over the place on Saturday, as was Means. Still can’t believe Navy ran over 100 plays. That is a testament to both teams conditioning (Navy O and Air Force D).
Take out the Golden Domers this Saturday.
