Although any return by Taylor Stewart would be a ways off, the book hasn’t been officially closed on the Air Force senior forward’s season.
Stewart, who has missed two games with a broken fibula, does not need season-ending surgery. An academy spokesman confirmed a “stress X-ray” brought the positive news.
While that is good news for Stewart, it is still going to be a long road back for him. Air Force coach Jeff Reynolds said perhaps Stewart could return for the conference tournament, which starts for the men’s side on March 8.
“Then he’s out that period of time, so it would be hard to get him really into the flow, because we don’t know what he’ll be able to do during the rehab process,” Reynolds said.
Great news for Taylor.
