Air Force promotes Charlton Warren to defensive coordinator

Air Force did not wait long to replace outgoing defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt, promoting secondary coach Charlton Warren to the job.

The Falcons also promoted Brad White to inside linebackers coach, a job Wallerstedt held. White also takes over as recruiting coordinator, a job Warren held. The moves are reflected on Air Force’s official website.

Warren has been on the staff for seven seasons, and had the title of co-defensive coordinator, although Wallerstedt called the defense. Air Force coach Troy Calhoun confirmed this morning that Wallerstedt had taken a job as linebackers coach at Texas A&M. Wallerstedt had run the Falcons defense for two years.
