Air Force’s sports information department put out this statement from former Falcons coach Jeff Reynolds:
“Janet and I would like to thank all the staff and their families, the players and their families and fans for the past four and one-half seasons. We appreciated the opportunity and everyone’s support to coach at such a great institution, the Air Force Academy. While I am very saddened and disappointed with the decision, I do think our staff did many good things. I want to thank Dr. Mueh and the leadership at the Academy for the opportunity. I wish the program much success.”
Don’t worry, Frank Schwab just this past Sunday said, “Nobody is getting fired”….” the “AFA would be a laughing stock for firing a Head Coach for two technical fouls”…
Maybe when you stop “laughing” Frank, you could pay closer attention to the inevitable? Just sayin…
Jeff is a nice guy BUT not the coach for the AFA. He had to go to save the program and to save our basketball cadet athletes.
FF5- I know you have read enough of my posts on here strongly urging to turn the page on the JR era. I am so absolutely excited for these young Men tonight, because they are regrouping with this long overdue move. I am bringing four more with us to Clune Sat Night on my dime. Just to get more fans in the seats for our Cadets. I wish the Community would race to Clune and pack the house.
.it would be just what these kids need! TO BETTER TIMES!
This is a very exciting development. Say what you will about Reynolds, but he has recruited well, having brought in height and talent! However on a cautionary note, if they keep doing what they’re doing, they’ll keep getting what they’re getting! The athletes they have now are not particularly suited to the Air Force “system,” which is ridiculously easy to defend when the 3-pt shot isn’t falling, and is weak on rebounding!
