About 75 degrees. No wind. Virtually perfect conditions for football.
Not much of a crowd. Would be surprised if there are 30,000 people at Falcon Stadium.
Air Force is an 11-point favorite over New Mexico.
I think that’s too generous. Think Air Force will win. Also think it will be close.
I have four season, unused tonight as I am in Boston.
How many season tickets sold? How many season ticket accounts?
NM is running real good. AFA has it’s hands full.

NM is running real good. AFA has it’s hands full. Means just picked six.
Sunday morning leftovers from Saturday night…
Air Force has “won ugly” the last two weeks. Wyoming outplayed AFA in the first half, but the Falcons found just enough to sneak by the Cowboys in the second half.
In last night’s game I thought a turning point came in the opening drive by New Mexico. After Kasey Carrier scorched AFA with a sixty-eight yard run the Falcons stiffened on defense and held the Lobos to a field goal when a touchdown looked like a foregone conclusion. The Falcons couldn’t contain the Lobos’ ground game for much of the night, but authored a few critical third and fourth down stops when it most mattered.
Looking ahead to next year’s schedule Air Force plays Colgate at home to start the season. In a 57-36 win over Georgetown yesterday, Colgate QB Gavin McCarney– a junior who will return next season–amassed 510 yards of total offense and scored 5TDs. You might keep McCarney’s name in mind for next year’s meeting.
I have a close friend who lives in Georgia who tells me he’s read reports in the Atlanta Constitution detailing a home and home series to be played between AFA and Georgia State. The Falcons would play in Atlanta in 2014 with the Panthers coming to the academy in 2016. Former NFL star Bill Curry is the Georgia State head coach.
My own $.02 is that I give Air Force little chance to beat Nevada this coming Friday. The Wolfpack suffered a 39-38 OT loss, at home, to San Diego State last night after entering the fourth quarter with a 10 point lead. My hope is that several of the Falcons who sustained injuries last night [and in games before last night] recover to such an extent that they can help Air Force defeat Army in two weeks.
It was indeed a beautiful night, and Falcon Stadium sat half empty. Parking is free. Tailgating is encouraged. There’s so much more than just the football game, with the march on, fly-by, Drum and Bugle Corps, falcon flying at halftime, yet empty seats everywhere you look.
I find it extremely frustrating how little Colorado Springs supports USAFA sports. The Stadium should be routinely full.
I am traveling to Colorado Springs in a few weeks and would like to look into tickets for the AFA vs. Hawaii game. Can you tell me what would be the best seat location?
